Nantymoel RFC v Morriston RFC

The Senior Squad had revenge today for their Silver Ball Quarter Final loss to Morriston RFC last season winning 19 points to 14.

Nantymoel travelled to Morriston with only 18 players and were greeted by their hosts sporting a squad of 30 players.

However, the Nantymoel squad, with the backrow pairing of Rhys Bevan and Steven Morgan playing out of position on the wings, were awesome.

Full back Andrew Thomas opened the scoring for the visitors as Nantymoel took a 7 - 0 lead with Shaun Webber successful with the conversion.

And at the end of the first period Nantymoel were leading 12 - 0 after a try by number 8 David Bishop.

However, Nantymoel were not having it all their own way and were pegged back to 7 - 12 with a try and conversion for the home side and Morriston then took the lead when the referee award a penalty try to the home side which was easily converted.

But Nantymoel were to have the last word in this match with centre Graham Morgan scoring a try for the visitors and Shaun Webber slotting over the conversion to leave the final score Morriston RFC 14 Nantymoel RFC 19.

A big mention must also go to the backrow trio of evergreen flanker Sion Hunnum and young guns David Bishop and John Lloyd who dominated at the breakdown.

This was an impressive win for Nantymoel who went to Morriston with a thread bare squad and missing some big players.

UP THE MOEL!
